Both GLAMIES and Cappies Critics are theatre awards programs covering the Blue Ridge region of Virginia and the metro DC area. Students/Critics at participating high schools volunteer to attend and review theatre shows throughout the district. All attending critics meet after each show to nominate performers in several categories, and then each critic is responsible for writing (Cappies Critics) or vlogging (Glamies) a review of the show within 24 hours. At the end of the high school theatre season, critics travel to a central school where they vote on all awards categories. These programs culminate in a large, formal, awards gala held at the GMU Hylton Performing Arts Center each May. Below are the shows I've reviewed since becoming a GLAMIES/Cappies Critic in 9th grade.
